You mean they're not all called
Teddy?! |
In the roof of the visitor center
at the entrance to the park were several nests housing many young birds like
these two |
Elena grabs the sheep by the
horns... a Bighorn Sheep, that is! |
Not sure what all the layers are,
but they make for quite a rock canvas of geological proportions |
Driving along the Going To The
Sun Road |
These guys put the "glacier" in
Glacier National Park! |
Driving along the scenic drive
with huge rock cliffs on our right, and a nice size cliff overlook on our
left |
A short stop at the north end of
Lake McDonald |
Checkin' out the surroundings |
Cool, but not as cool as I'd
expected "glacier cool" to be |
Always time for some rock skippin'... |
...and some log-walkin'... |
...and skin-knee dippin'... |
...and makin' friends. |
Taking a paddling break on Lake
McDonald |
One can only be so cool when one
doesn't put one's life jacket on correctly. Yeah baby!!! |

Heading back north along the

Fallen trees, we think from a

Heading back to our campsite

Unable to sleep, Jonathan goes

Our KOA campsite at St. Mary, MT |
One of our camping neighbors
started playing the ukulele in the morning before we left this campsite for
Yellowstone |
Heading to Yellowstone |
We thought this might have been
some crazy cloud formation until seeing the bigger picture from behind the
mountain (below)... |
Just before getting to the north
entrance of Yellowstone National Park (which is in Montana even though the
bulk of the park is in northwestern Wyoming), we saw this fire over the
mountains that looked more like a volcano exploding. (8/12) |
